Glen Eyrie Castle, in the Garden of the Gods. I have wanted to stay here since ‘97, when I first visited. I’m really excited about this one! Although the interior of the rooms is more B&B than I like, the setting couldn’t be better. It’s RIGHT in the middle of a gorgeous national park, and we will have a CASTLE to use as our homebase for two days… ha!
The Garden of the Gods is half-way between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. Manitou Springs is a little hippie mountain town where I spent almost two months (12 years ago!). It’s located right at the base of Pikes Peak.
